"Alright then." AJ kept pace with Lily until they reached the edge of the settlement. He returned the hand shake and nodded. "See you shortly." With that, he sauntered back towards the raider encampment. Unfortunately for him, there were a few of the slightly more brash men outside, and of course they'd spotted him talking to Lily, so of course they made comments. He told them all to shut up with a smirk and a slightly flush across the cheeks before stripping off to the waist and freshening himself up. He fetched a clean t-shirt and pulled it on, then brushed his hair back in some lame attempt to get it to sit properly. It never really did. Ignoring a few more choice heckles from the other raiders, he crossed Bosler to Lily's cabin. He cleared his throat before he knocked.
She made her way around her place and started cleaning up. She first quickly washed up and made herself seem presentable.
Moving her items she collected from the yard and put them out of the way. She then started setting the small table pulling another stool up to it.
She couldn't remember the last time she actually had someone over... or well someone who ever came over to even ask her for something, it was a nice feeling for her.
Smiling she went back to checking the stew in the pot and stirred it a bit until she heard knocking at the door. She walked towards the door stopping at the small broken mirror quickly checking herself out before opening the door "Come in" she stepped to the side to welcome him inside

AJ felt awkwardly empty handed, standing there on Lily's doorstep. Should he have brought something to drink? Did she even drink? All he had was a few fingers of moonshine left in the bottom of his sad little bottle, and he doubted that would do much to impress her. Did he want to impress her? Oh, shit, he hadn't thought about that. He felt himself starting to sweat again and greatly wished he could just disappear, but there was Lily coming towards the door. He made himself smile as the door was opened. "Hi. Thank you." He stepped into the cabin, rubbing his slightly sweaty hands on his thighs. "I feel like I should've brought some wine or something..."
"Maybe.. next time" she closed the door behind him "I mean if there is a next time but it's fine you coming is more than enough for me" she smiled and motioned him for him to come in more "Well welcome to my little place... you're actually one of the first people to.. visit.. to be honest though you're the only one I've invited over..." she looked over at the makeshift stove and went to stir the stew again "Umm so hopefully you're in the mood for left over stew, I mean I didn't have much to have meat and potatoes... but this should be just as good"

Maybe some bread or something instead. He was sure he still had half a loaf left, though it might have been like chewing on a rock at that point. "You're lucky you've got a place of your own. I'm basically sharing a room with two other guys..." It wasn't the worst thing in the world, but after a busy day sweating, things tended to get a little close in there. He took in the cabin, wondering if he would have a little place of his own one day. "Smells good." He added, nodding towards the stove. "I'll eat anything. I've got the stomach of an ox."
smiling as she turned around to remove it from the heat "Thank you, hopefully it tastes as good as it smells" she set the pot in the middle of the small table and served it into the bowls that she laid out earlier "So thinking tomorrow I could go with you, but what time do I need to be down by the gates and ready?" She sat down after he had taken a seat, she closed her eyes and looked down for a few seconds before looking up at him smiling "Sorry.. if I'm smiling to much it's I don't know... nice to have someone to talk to or we'll be around too..."

AJ sat himself at the small table, feeling far too large in that little cabin. He watched Lily as she dished out the stew, then flushed slightly and looked away when she spoke to him again. "Um...we normally clear out just after dawn. Gotta make sure there's no Avs around, y'know?" He'd made the mistake once of going out while it was still 'dark'. Never again. "No, it's fine, I get it." He smiled back, feeling more comfortable."I err...don't really socialise with people like this much."
"So when the light starts reaching the sky gotcha.. and yes.. the Avs.. don't want to run into them..." she let out a nervous chuckle "It only takes one time huh?" She slid her hands over her thighs trying to calm herself down a bit "Its weird? I mean I would of guessed before that people where more close and had conversations but after everything.. I mean what I've read from finding things it just seemed like people started to stick to their groups or just family and when they were alone they stayed that way until the end.." she shrugged "I enjoy your company though and if you don't mind maybe we could make this a regular thing?"

"Mmhmm." AJ nodded. "Though I'm awake long before then anyway. Old habits and all that." He smiled. He'd wake up a good two hours or so before dawn everyday in order to run a bath and make breakfast for his wife. He missed doing it; nowadays he just spent two hours or so before dawn drinking and staring moodily out of the window. "Aye, it does. But..." He shrugged. "...I don't mind 'em so much. I'm more wary of other humans. Avs, they...they're just doing what they know." He nodded again, looking a little more solemn. "I heard that people would gather from all over the world just to listen to music in one spot. How bizarre is that? You wouldn't catch people doin' that now." He smiled at Lily again, feeling his ears flush the same as his cheeks. "I reckon that'd be nice."
She rubbed her chin "Hmm a gathering to listen to music, I wonder what that must of been like... how many people..." she started playing around with her food before looking up smiling "Well I'm glad you said that, if you would like we can start one day a week and see how it goes before adding more?" She shrugged "Do you think things will ever go back or somewhat like how things where in the before time or do you think we will eventually advance and do better?"
