Occupation Claims
Occupations work slightly differently in Candide than they might in other places. Due to the disorganized, unofficial nature, and high variability in what most jobs entail in Bosler, we have broadly sorted work into several categories to pick from. Some of these may be more broad than others, but these should cover pretty much all of the occupations that keep Bosler running.
Raider This will be the occupation of all Raiders, and simply means they are assigned tasks by Milo Bromwell.
Scavenger Exclusively Avarus and Outsiders, Scavengers search the Wastes for anything that could be useful, bringing it back to the Scrap Pile where it will be sorted and traded.
Hunter Exclusively Citizens, Hunters are responsible for the food brought into Bosler via foraging in the forests, tending to the greenhouses, or hunting game. They are also responsible for tending to the firepits day and night, and taking meat scraps and blood to the Avarus Nest before nightfall.
General Labour Exclusive to Outsiders and Citizens, this is the most basic and broad occupation, General Labourers do most of the heavy lifting and general repair work around Bosler. They can generally be hired to do a day's work for whatever you may need and don't want to do yourself.
Marketplace The Marketplace is the general occupation for anyone who owns their own stall in the Marketplace. More information is available in the location directory in the Bosler subforum.
Messenger Primarily Outsiders, Messengers are tasked with running messages and goods across the Wastes. They may also be tasked with transporting low-risk goods, or escorting other people, such as children and those who cannot easily defend themselves.
Entertainer Entertainer is another broad occupation, covering everything from performers (singing, dancing, acting, etc) to artists, writers, storytellers, and beyond. If their job is to take people's minds off of reality for a little while, its safe to assume they're an entertainer.
Dependent Dependents are anyone who is not capable of working on their own in Bosler. This could be due to being a child, old age, or a disability. They may help out whoever cares for them, but they are not technically seen as officially employed anywhere.
